Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is one of the NFL's most successful tight ends and the third most effective overall receiver, he's been named the NFL's most effective tight end, in terms of receptions, yards he has received, achieved, and so on.
Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End currently works as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been an integral part in FOX NFL KICKOFF, the FOX's one-hour NFL pregame show that airs prior to FOX NFL SUNDAY, airing each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez resigned with the Falcons on March 15, 2013, for a deal that was worth 14 million dollars over two years. This was even though he claimed that he was going to retire at the end of the season. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez aged 37 at the time, spent the last year of his professional career as the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
